In 2007 Reg Worth and Vanrusselhof import Aust/DKBR/DK CH Bryan Vom Haus Mecki IPO3 SchH3 (Imp NWY) traveled to Le Touquet France to compete in the FMBB world championship for Belgian Shepherds.

This competition draws competitors from 33 different nations http://www.fmbb.net/viewpage.php?page_id=37

but until 2007 had never had an Australian representative.  The main reason for this is the prohibitive costs of transporting a dog to Europe then returning home and related Australian quarantine requirements and costs.

The FMBB holds competitions in many different fields such as Obedience, Agility, Conformation Show, Jumping, Mondio ring and IPO.  Reg and Bryan competed in the IPO (Schutzhund) competition.  Reg and Bryan came home with a qualifying score of 87:83:83!  While other Australian competitors have since traveled overseas and competed at the FMBB with a total score of 253 Bryan still holds the highest qualifying score for any Australian contender.

I hope Reg and Bryan have paved the way for many more Australians to compete on an international level in the future.

Thank you to the following sponsors who assisted Reg and Bryan on their journey:
