Maddies descended from a
mixture of the famous "Van Balderlo", "de la Terre
Aimee" & "Du Maugre" bloodlines.
When Maddie arrived she had 35 points towards her
Australian Championship Title which we finished within a
few months. Maddie could have done much greater
things in the show ring but showing was not her favorite
pass time and she pulled a variety of sulky faces in the
ring to make sure everyone understood this... For this reason
I decided not to continue showing Maddie upon attaining
her title.
Maddie had 2 litters for Vanrusselhof the C Litter and
the F Litter. Maddie bloomed throughout both these
pregnancies, was wonderful Mum and made a great
contribution to our breeding program.
Maddie retired with Mr & Mrs Lawback
at Jimboomba, Brisbane on 5 acres. Maddie ate home
cooked meals and sleeped by the bed at night. Between you and me I think Maddie
was just a little bit
spoilt...! Unfortunately at 11½ years of age
Maddie passed away due to complications from paralysis
tick poisoning. She will be sorely missed.
Thanks to Rick and Kay Korn for entrusting me with this
sweet girl and Mr and Mrs Lawback for giving Maddie such
an awesome home and retirement.
