I imported semen from Zico in 2001 when he was a young unknown dog after watching his IPO workout in Belgium on video aged 14 months old.  I was impressed by Zico and thought he was a dog that would go to the top - and he did placing 3rd on a tie breaker with the same overall score as the winner at the IPO World Champs in 2003.  Of note Vanrusselhof was the first kennel in Australia to utilize Zico vd Berlex-Hoeve's bloodlines with imported frozen semen in 2003 before Zico was imported to Australia later in 2005. The combination produced 3 female Malinois puppies including Vanrusselhof Enca (AI) who was a very successful brood bitch for our kennels producing many quality working dogs.
